Possession (1981) Review:

Possession is, to say the least, an extremely strange film. I’ll have a hard reviewing it considering that I did not understand it and I think that…on view of the many different critics and explanation to be found on the net, I am not the only one.

This film is a dark descent into a world of the bizarre and madness. It is surprisingly captivating for something that doesn’t make any sense at all. This movie wouldn’t be what it is without the remarkable acting of the three superstars: Isabelle Adjani (the wife), Sam Neil (the husband) and Heinz Bennent (the lover). They incarnate insanity at their best.

Thereee is a lot of mind-blowing scenes, covering the whole spectra of feelings from stress to violence to passion to rage to insanity. You’ll not understand why, but this film should mark you, at least it did to me and I have a hard time forgetting it.
