The Beyond (1981) Review:

A mad movie that has everything to please most horror lovers. The killing scenes are just crazy, especially the one where the horde of mygales devoures a man alive. The Beyond is visually very disturbing! Some of the special effects, such as the face-melting effects, are really realistic for the time, totally gruesome and disgusting! The all intrigue is pretty basic but the constant mystery successfully manages to keep the audience on-edge and eager to know more.

The Director done a great job with limited resources. Crazy music, inventive camera effects and multiple close-up all together create a very stressful and uncomfortable atmosphere. The ending is great and this movie will be a very intense experience overall also haunt your dreams for the coming days. My only regret was that it was too short! A must-seen for any horror fans.
