Having slept with virus-carrier Samantha, Riley starts to get sick himself and will go on a search for the men behind the infection.
Contracted: Phase II (2015) Review:
This sequel picks up the story where Contracted left it. Like the first movie, Contracted Phase II is short (78 min long) and revolve mostly around one person getting infected – except that it is a man instead of a woman this time.
Thereee is a decent attempt to introduce a larger picture to the infection story, and this sequel focuses a bit more on the villain and the reason for the infection. Yet, I found it a lame teaser since it raised more question than it answered.
Like the first movie, this one is really gross, probably as gross as the first one, but repetitively disgusting too. This reminds me of the Final Destination franchise and how the only reason to watch it is to discover the new death. I fell that the only reason to like Contracted Phase II is to discover the new infection scenes.
I wasn’t really convinced by the first movie, and now even less by the second one… let see what the third one will bring (according to the cliffhanger abrupt ending…there will be one). To this one, you’ll prefer the excellent Starry Eyes or Cabin Fever I & II.
