Piranha 3D (2010) Review:

Having hugely enjoyed the 1978 and 1981 Piranha‘s movies when I was a kid, I remember being quite excited at the idea of a 3D remake of such classics – especially since the old ones kinda look like they could use a remake with modern special effects. Unfortunately, I found the remake to pale in comparison to the original in almost every aspect. First, I was curious to see what new ideas they would have – the answer is “none”. Apart from a few party teens getting bitten/ eaten, nothing amazing is to report about this 3D remake. The piranhas look very cool and sometimes scary though. Beeing quite found of “bad creature” movie, this the kind of movie that entertains me, and for this reason I would still recommend that you watch it – whilst doing something else maybe.
