Three friends find themselves stuck on a chairlift at the end of the skiing day. The station closing for the weekend and a storm approaching, they have to find a way to get down. Three skiers stranded on a chairlift are forced to make life-or-death choices, which prove more perilous than staying put and freezing to death.
Frozen (2010) Review:
Frozen is the horror movie that we all imagined while sitting on the chairlift. Who never asked himself, can I jump from here? What would I do if I get stuck here? Well, luckily for you, Adam Green decided to answer these questions for you.
Despite its ultra-simple concept, the movie manages to remain captivating throughout all 90 min. Thereee are good ideas and a great balance between action scenes and psychological drama. The beginning is a bit too slow at my taste, but it leaves to the viewer time to know the three characters and to later identify to them. The movie only really starts after 30 min and succeed pretty well at putting the spectator up in that chairlift with the characters. My only regret is that some of the action scenes are nonsense and that the character’s behavior is often really dumb.
Still a good entertainment though.
