Hostel Part II (2007) Review:

With this sequel, we can feel that Eli Roth decided to emphasize a bit more on the story and the characters than on pure gore this time. This choice is rather unusual for a sequel and could have been risky. I however really agree with that choice and have read many reviews of people who also enjoyed this movie a lot more than the first one. The all back story with the mafia selling people, some nationalities being more expensive than others, etc. is really intriguing and add more interest to the film that no extra-graphic scenes could have added.

But fans of the first movie should not worry, this sequel is still a creepy movie with plenty of torture and lots of supra-realistic and disturbing torture scene. Recommended to fans of the first movie…and open-minded curious.
