The FEAST films have become an exercise in odd but a fun exercise none the less.  I really enjoy director John Gulager's style of film making.  It's fast paced and very artistic that sometimes borders on near insanity but yet I find myself mesmerized by it.

He definitely plays by his own set of rules and it is energizing to actually watch something original and dare I say groundbreaking in this era of "lets remake anything that ever made a buck" film making.

Even though it is original FEAST III is also a bit to weird for its own good.  Is there a thing as actually being to "over the top"?  I'm thinking there is and that Gulager has found it.  He seems to have an infatuation with body fluids and farts and shit.  It's everywhere.  Not to ruin the picture for you but there is actually a scene of one of the monsters ripping the head off one of the characters, eating it whole and then shitting it out a few seconds later.  Yummy!!!

But it is that type of no holds barred, go for the throat horror that is why you should not miss this film for any reason.  Actually the aforementioned scene is really tame when compared to some of the other things in this film.

It really is way, way, way over the top but I'm thinking that is what exactly Gulager wanted and be most definately succeds on every level.

And the ending, well the ending is just...........wierd.  Definately didn't see it coming and it is original thats for sure.

This one isn't for everyone and I'm thinking a good many of you will actually not like this film at all and that's a shame as it really is what so many of you say you're looking for.  Non cookie cutter, original. over the top horror that pulls no punches and is completely unapologetic.

Was way disappointed by the Special Features on this disc.  The commentary track is first rate.  I did like it a lot but that is pretty much all  you get.  No alternate anything, no gag reel, no making of stuff.  Kinda lame.

The film is really strange, fun and wierd though and the more I think about it and the many odd scenes I find myself liking it  more and more.  Can anyone say "cult classic".

Time will tell.

Go buy it, give it a spin and let me know what you think.
