This news comes off a bit disturbing to me but I guess with a franchise that is five films in it is time to start looking for any idea that may make it seem fresh and so seems to be the case with this little nugget.

At a recent screening of REPO being held by LIONSGATE it is being reported that a 3D version of the series may be in the offering.

With the recent success of MY BLOODY VALENTINE and a fresh crop of other 3D horror in the pipeline I guess it would only seem natural for them to consider this.  What I find a bit disturbing is the fact that they really arn't looking at this new installment as being SAW VI but instead a new offshoot of the original film that I am assuming would head off in its own direction.

Could we handle 2 new SAW films a year!!

Anyway, no confirmation on any of this but if they decide to move ahead we'll let you know.
