Reports out of the UK are saying SLING BLADE star and former Angelina Jolie paramour Billy Bob Thornton has been tapped to play Freddy Krueger in the remake of 1984's A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.
Reportedly, original Freddy and horror legend Robert Englund has given his blessing, calling Billy Bob an "excellent choice." He went on to add, "A big budget should mean the film will look a lot better than some of the old movies"
