I thought when I first announced the skull packaging for the MOHS2 that it was a great idea and the other day when it actually showed up for my inspection I was thrilled to see that it was everything I thought it would be and then some.
It really is a shame that Showtime let this series go as it really was a neat experiment and allowed film makers the freedom and resources to play around with the genre and see what happened. Season two is a perfect example of this. Not that the season didn't have a few misfires - in my opinion - but even the misfires were inventive and exciting.
A couple of the stand out performance are Jeffery Comb's Emmy worthy turn as Poe in THE BLACK CAT and William Forsythe as that demented clown in WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM. Both episodes are must sees. Also PETER MEDAK's THE WASHINGTONIANS is an exercise in strangeness that I have never forgotten and if you haven't yet watched it then let this box set serve as the perfect reason to do so.
Although the episodes are very strong the real star of the show is the incredible Skull packaging and it is what is going to draw genre fans in by the droves. This release is limited to only 15,000 units and it's been out since July 29th so you may want to get off you ass and pick this one up.
