Fans of the HBO series TRUE BLOOD will be happy to know that HBO has given the popular show the greenlight for a second season.
The vampire series, which premiered on September 7th, attracted a respectable 1.4 million viewers and has very recently taken a nice little jump to 1.8 million.
HBO West Coast programming head Michael Lombardo says that, although the ratings jump didn't exactly hurt in making the decision, they simply wanted to continue telling the story.
"There was no way creatively we didn't want this show on the air for another year, but (the ratings spike) probably gave us the kick in the butt we needed to pick it up early."
TRUE BLOOD airs Sunday nights on HBO
