He's been quiet for a while but today word comes out the the one and only John Carpenter is gearing up for a new show. Here is what is being reported so far:
The film will be called THE WARD and will follow the disturbing experience of a young woman in an institution who is terrorized by a ghost.
The film already has a star in the absolutely gorgeous Amber Heard.
In case you need a refresh, here she is:
Heard will play the lead role. The duo of Michael and Shawn
Rasmussen penned the script with Doug Mankoff, Mike Marcus and Andy
Spaulding of Echo Lake Entertainment producing and Peter Block of A
Bigger Boat co-financing and producing with Echo Lake. Carpenter had
the following to say regarding THE WARD:
"The Ward' is the kind of script that I've been looking for: a complex, visceral story, full of suspense and scares."
The project is set to start filming on May. No concrete confirmation from the Carpenter camp but now that the news has dropped keep it here and when the man confirms we'll let you know.
