Marvel must be satisfied with the work done on the Dark Tower series, because they commissioned an adaptation of Stephen King's gargantuan novel (and fan favorite) The Stand.  Now moving steadily along, Aint It Cool got a first look at images from the sure-to-be-epic comic series.

The Dark Tower series has certainly been satisfying, due to the lovely, faux-widescreen imagery of Jae Lee and Richard Isanove, and the deepening mythology, courtesy of Robin Furth.  It'll be hard for the Stand adaptation to function as anything more than an illustrated version of the novel, but for fans, that should be more than enough.

Especially when it looks this good.
