Agreeing to watch over an isolated hotel for five months wouldn't be a problem for most people. Me? I would most likely gain 20 pounds and watch hours and hours of The Price Is Right. I mean who has time to try and kill their family when there is an endless supply of Tang and fruit cocktail in the kitchen? Not much of a movie there. Luckily, for us, THE SHINING had a character that was almost ready to kill his family before they even made it to the hotel.
