One of my fondest horror fan memories is heading to the local mall to check out something called MOTHER'S DAY wayyyy back in 1980.  Had no idea what the hell it was about.  Just knew that Troma had a hand in it and I had seen enough of their work to know it was going to bloody and filled with boobs.

I was in!!

To this day it remains one of the most shocking, violent films I have ever seen.

The axe to the nuts scene still haunts me to this day.

Good news is, I will now be able to relive it all and in glorious Hi Def!!  You haven't lived to you've seen someone vomit Draino in Hi Def.  ( I can see the corn in the puke!)

Anchor Bay has taken on the challenge of bringing this often misunderstood masterpiece to the Blu-ray masses and will do so on Sept. 4th.

They are promising never before seen bonus goodies that will include commentaries, behind the scenes fun and a featurette with Eli Roth.  What the hell he has to do with anything is beyond me, but he'll be there regardless.

Sounds like a good time to me, where do I sign up?
