After all the speculation of anticipation we finally have ourselves of the man himself, The Governor.  Fans of the comic were besides themselves as casting was going on and today we have ourselves a shot of the man who won the lottery.

What you just viewed is actor David Morrissey as the baddie.

In the graphic novels The Governor is one nasty hombre and creator Robert Kirkman promises all the nastiness will make its way to the small screen:

"The Governor in the show is definitely going to be The Governor in the comic. I think that he's definitely going to be a character that people love to hate and are absolutely entertained by, but also somewhat terrified of. He's definitely going to be a very important character and a very nuanced character. We are not going to be watering him down."

Gotta wait till this fall to see what is in store but I've got a feeling it's going to be worth the wait.
