Matt over at P13 Entertainment dropped a line to night to let us know that Dimension has picked up Buried Alive, the Robert Kurtzman directed shocker. Actually he wanted to let us know that VARIETY had reported the news which you can read below:
Dimension Films has acquired "Buried Alive," a horror pic from f/x maven Robert Kurtzman.
Kurtzman helmed "Wes Craven's Wishmaster" and was a visual effects supervisor on genre pics including "Hostel" and "The Rage." He also was a scribe on Robert Rodriguez's "From Dusk Till Dawn."
Tobin Bell ("Saw") and Terence Jay star in the pic, which is close to completion, insiders said; Art Monterastelli penned the screenplay.
Story centers on a sorority hazing ritual that takes students to an abandoned house; it also involves "an empty coffin, a fatal curse and a ghost who seeks vengeance on his family's bloodline."
