Anchor Bay Entertainment the leader in market for horror dvds brings three new titles destined to be in any self-respecting horror fans collections.
Up first this month is Dario Argento's Masters of Horror entry "Pelts"(Review, DVD Review). This disc marks the first release from Season Two of Showtime outstanding series Masters of Horror. Mick Garris and his band of every expanding Masters have done a pretty good job of eclipsing the standards set with Season One. Here are the specs on this amazing disc from AB:
Dario Argento's PELTS
Adapted in lurid Giallo-style from F. Paul Wilson’s (The Keep) short story by Matt Venne, “Pelts” gives “the skin trade” a whole new supernatural and bloody twist. Struggling fur trader Jake Feldman (Meat Loaf) knows that you can’t make a coat without breaking a few animals’ necks. When he creates a luxurious fur coat from a family of raccoons, he realizes he’s made his ticket back to the big time, as well as potentially winning the heart of model Mira (Melissa Gonzalez). But this exquisite fur coat does more than just dazzle the eye – it possesses animal desires and the power to exact revenge.

The next entry from Anchor Bay is "Devil's Den". This "From Dusk till Dawn" rip-off stars the great Ken Foree of "Dawn of the Dead" fame. It may give us a glimpse of what he might have been if Foree had been cast as Frost, a role made famous by Fred "The Hammer" Williamson in "From Dust till Dawn"? Well "Devil's Den" is the closes we may come to that. Here are the specs on this AB disc:
DEVIL'S DEN
During a routine Spanish Fly-smuggling trip back from Mexico, two friends stumble upon an out-of-the-way gentlemen’s club with no cover charge and plenty of sexy, friendly ladies. But what feels like lap dance heaven is actually a recruiting station for an army of the flesh eating undead. Now, a drug dealing film geek (Devon Sawa), a trigger-happy assassin (Kelly Hu), a samurai demon hunter (Ken Foree) and an airhead cocktail waitress (Karen Maxwell) must battle ferocious hordes of gut-ripping strippers whose pimp-daddy is Satan himself. FHM and “Deal Or No Deal” model Dawn Olivieri co-stars in this skin-baring bloodbath where the horny meets the horned, beautiful women become soul-sucking ghouls, and every man’s road to Hell leads straight into the Devil’s Den!
DEVIL’S DEN delights with the following devilish supplements:

The final featured title from Anchor Bay this month is "Night of the Living Dork" a horror comedy that has been labelled by many critics as “Shaun of the Dead meets American Pie,” and I must say that is pretty much dead on (pun intended). It is a very funny and entertaing film, plus the English dub job can get pretty hilarious at time adding to this overall charming addition to the zombie genre. Here are the specs on this amazing disc from AB:
NIGHT OF THE LIVING DORKS
Written and directed by Matthias Dinter, Night Of The Living Dorks almost defies description. Philip (Tino Mewes) and his best friends Konrad (Thomas Schmeider) and “Weener” (Manuel Cortez) are the three biggest losers at Frederich Nietzsche High School. During a drive, their bong malfunctions, spewing smoke into their Scooby van and causing them to crash. After inhaling some ashes bought on eBay® that supposedly can raise the dead, the three friends become indestructible zombies with an insatiable appetite for human flesh, wild parties and gym class revenge.
Anchor Bay presents Night Of The Living Dorks in German (with English subtitles) with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, as well as an English-dubbed version in Dolby Digital stereo. In addition, viewers will find the following universally chilling bonus features on Night Of The Living Dorks DVD:
