The one sheet for I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE popped up today over at Bloody Disgusting.
October 8th is the theatrical release date. I'm hoping we get a wide spread release. Since it's Anchor Bay doing the releasing they have a kind of annoying habit of doing those damn "limited theatrical runs". As far as I know though, this one should be playing in a town near year you. If I hear otherwise, I"ll let ya know.
The flick stars Sarah Butler (that's her lovely form gracing the poster) and as far as story line goes here's the just of things:
I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE tells the story of city dweller
Jennifer Hills (Butler), a city girl who rents an isolated cabin in the
country to write her latest novel. On one terrifying evening, a group
of local lowlifes break into the cabin and overpower, assault and rape
Jennifer, ultimately leaving her for dead. But Jennifer miraculously
survives her ordeal, consumed with hell-borne vengeance for those who
wronged her, and repays their heinous acts in gruesome ways that these
lowlifes never thought imaginable.
When I was young the original I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE was one of those films that you scoured the mom and pop video store for hoping that you could ind a copy. When I finally did find it, I didn't care for it but I'm hoping for better things from this remake.
