Keevil, the co-producer, editor, and composer of 2011's BELLFLOWER, is
in the process of funding CHUCK HANK AND THE SAN DIEGO TWINS, a new indie
project that is being described as "a throwback to the heyday (of the) 80's
side-scrolling video games and action films" by the production company's
website,
Coatwolf Productions. In an effort to make the film that they want
to make without compromises or concessions to Hollywood, the producers have set
up a fixed funding campaign. The general
public can donate money to their goal of $60K, which as of this writing has
been surpassed by just over $23K.
The
inspiration for the film comes from director Keevil's love of video games and
desire to make a movie based on such titles as
Streets of Rage
and Double Dragon.
Donate
some money and get your name in the film's end credits. The film sports the Medusa which appeared in
BELLFLOWER and is shaping up to be reminiscent of my favorite action film, THE
ROAD WARRIOR.
The last day for donating is Friday, March 22, 2013.
Can't
wait to see this one!
