STYD got a pretty cool exclusive when Universal gave them first shot at showing us all the one sheet for the upcoming remake DEATH RACE.
Yep, its a redo of the Corman classic DEATH RACE 2000 which I and probably most of my generation remember with grand fondness. Will this one own up to the original? Only time will tell. Don't remember what the story is all about? Good news for you, SYTD also posted a nifty little rundown of the storyline. Here ya go:
Jason Statham (Crank) stars as Jensen Ames, a race car driver
who is framed for murder, tossed in the slammer and forced into the
titular game. Donning the moniker "Frankenstein," and wearing a
metallic visage, Ames races for freedom...so he thinks. Tyrese Gibson,
Joan Allen and Ian McShane star.
Jason Stratham has yet to do a film I haven't liked so I'm all in for this one.
