Just the other day I showed you that rather dull looking poster for Wes Craven's latest called MY SOUL TO TAKE. I mentioned then that it was rather odd that we have yet to be treated to anything "official" from the studio and new here we are a few days later an I've got an actual trailer to let you gawk at.
Not only directed by Craven but also written by him as well MY SOUL TO TAKE goes as follows:
In the sleepy town of Riverton,
where legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to
murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later,
people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as
one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for
dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer.
Adam "BUG"
Heller was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane.
Unaware of his dad's terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by
nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug
hopes to save his friends from the monster that's returned, he must
face an evil that won't rest until it finishes the job it began the day
he was born. This R rated thriller stars Max Thieriot, Frank Grillo, Denzel Whitaker, Zena Grey, Emily Meade,
Nick Lashaway, Hannah Hodson, Shareeka Epps, Jessica Hecht, Elana Hurst
and Christopher Place.
I learned a long time ago to never under estimate Wes Craven. This one looks a little weak to me but who knows. It could be the next big thing. Let's face it, Craven knows what folks like. Time will tell if MY SOUL TO TAKE can pull it off.
