Got word tonight on a new film that Wes Craven has had a hand in. It's called THE BREED and it is a straight to DVD feature. It will be released on May 22nd, here's all the info I have and check out the box art there on the right:
A group of friends (Michelle Rodriguez, Taryn Manning, Hill Harper and Oliver Hudson) fly away to a deserted island for a weekend excursion. They realize that this beautiful getaway was once controlled by a special canine research unit and it will soon become their biggest nightmare. Inspired by horror classics...The Breed takes you into the jaws of a flesh eating pack of wild dogs, genetically engineered to hunt and kill. Outnumbered and trapped they struggle to outsmart and outrun this terrifying species.
Produced by Wes Craven (the creator of the A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream film franchises) directed by Nick Mastandrea (a Wes Craven and George A. Romero protιgι in his directorial debut), and starring Michelle Rodriguez (Lost, The Fast and The Furious, SWAT, Resident Evil), Taryn Manning (Hustle and Flow, 8 Mile), Hill Harper (CSI NY, In Too Deep), and Oliver Hudson (Black Christmas).
The disc will have a handful of special features:
Widescreen, On Set Documentary, 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround, Previews, Spanish Subtitles, English Closed Captions
