Bloody Disgusting dropped some pretty awesome images and news from PIRANHA 3D this morning. First off there are a bunch of really great new blood soaked pics from the set and a an up close look at the nasty fish that is doing all the damage.
That's the fish there on the right. If I seen one of those things floating around I would be out of there and I do mean, right now.
Below make sure to check out some of the really great looking physical effects that KNB have conjured up. Really great work.
The other news that BD dropped was the fact that Richard Dreyfus is basically just reprising his role as Matt Hopper from JAWS in this one. I find that kind of cool, not sure why, I just do.
This is another one of those films that the more I learn about it the more excited I become to see it. It sure looks like it's going to be a blood bath.
Here are a couple of those pics I was talking about and to see the rest CLICK HERE and head on over to Bloody Disgusting for their whole gallery.

What we have there are some character teaser posters for the film and you know what? I like em.
Also got my hands on a short but very cool and very freaky teaser trailer that just like everything else I have seen about this release makes me want to check this one out and I do mean, right now.
Check out the cool streaming awesomeness:
Feb. 26th is the release date so we don't have much longer to wait.

If you've been watching yourself any playoff football you may have already seen this short little piece of coolness but if not then snuggle up close to your computer screen and check out this nice little tease of THE WOLFMAN.
This remake of the classic LON CHANEY JR. Universal tale looks to kick some pretty major butt and with Rick Baker handling the wolf effects it is high on my list for must see goodness.
The film opens Feb. 12th. Keep it here and I'll pass along any other pre-opening goodies that are passed my way.

Have you heard about RED RIDING? Until about 2 hours ago, I hadn't.
RED RIDING is actually a trilogy of films tilted 1974, 1980 and 1983.
They follow the hunt for a serial killer that struck in England in the 70's and 80's by someone dubbed THE YORKSHIRE RIPPER. The trio of films follows the killings and police investigation. The first film, 1974 was directed by Julian Jarrold. 1980 was directed by James Marsh and the last film, 1983 by Anand Tucker.
The film or should I say films have been playing the festival circut but IFC will be bringing it to the states with a VOD run but first it will be playing at the IFC center on Feb. 5th.
Here's the official synopsis with the trailer following:
"Sure to be one of the cinematic events of the year, RED RIDING is a mesmerizing neo-noir epic based on factual events and adapted for the screen by Tony Grisoni (FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS) from David Peace’s electrifying series of novels revolving around the manhunt for the “Yorkshire Ripper,” a serial killer who terrorized northwest England in the 1970s and ’80s.
The three films are directed by three notable filmmakers—Julian Jarrold (BRIDESHEAD REVISITED), James Marsh (MAN ON WIRE) and Anand Tucker (SHOPGIRL). Each boasts a stellar British cast that includes Andrew Garfield (THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS), Sean Bean (LORD OF THE RINGS), Paddy Considine (DEAD MAN’S SHOES), Rebecca Hall (VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA), and Peter Mullan (TRAINSPOTTING)."
Here's the trailer and check back as I'll post VOD and theatrical info as it comes in.
