Remember last week when I showed you those two kind of week teaser posters for WOLFMAN.  They were the ones for here in the states.  Across the pond they get another poster and damn if it isn't 20 times better then the ones we get.  Check it out for yourself:

See, told ya.

Remember, WOLFMAN hits on Feb. 12th.  Here's the official plot line:

Lawrence Talbot's childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brother's fiancee, Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline has come to investigate.

As he pieces together the gory puzzle, he hears of an ancient curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves when the moon is full. Now, if he has any chance at ending the slaughter and protecting the woman he has grown to love, Talbot must destroy the vicious creature in the woods surrounding Blackmoor. But as he hunts for the nightmarish beast, a simple man with a tortured past will uncover a primal side to himself…one he never imagined existed.

Nothing good ever happens in a seedy hotel, have you noticed?

To back this up along comes the film ACROSS THE HALL which takes place you know where, in a seedy hotel.

The film stars Brittany Murphy (don't see much of her anymore) and really appears to be more of a thriller then a horror film but hey, some of you might like it.

They posted up a trailer this morning so you can take a look and see if this one is anything you might want to check out.  It's getting the dreaded "limited release" on Dec. 4th, you'll need to check you local theaters to see if it is playing anywhere near you.

Here's the official by line on the story, the trailer is embedded after that:

A quiet night takes a dangerous turn when Julian receives a frantic phone call from his best friend, Terry. Terry claims to have followed his unfaithful fiancée, June, to a seedy hotel on the other side of town. To make matters worse, he’s staked out the room across the hall from her, a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a revolver in the other. Julian pleads with his friend to stay put while he rushes to avert disaster.

How About Watching A Trailer For SAVAGE COUNTY

So this new project has come to light.  It's called SAVAGE COUNTY and I like the way they have gone about this one.

Filmed in eight, ten minute segments the film can be viewed either episodically or all at once as a feature.

Billed as an homage to TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and other 70's horror fare SAVAGE COUNTY was filmed in high def in Memphis and stars a bunch of new comers and locals from the area.

Here's the official story line:

On the last weekend before prom, a mismatched group of high school kids heads to a remote pond to drink beer and hang out. When the beer runs dry, the conversation turns to daring Patrick, the runt of the group, into knocking on the door of the Hardells - the reclusive family that owns the land the pond is on. Patrick takes up the dare, knocks on the Hardells' door and finds himself staring down the barrel of a shotgun. When Patrick's friends come to his defense, the oldest Hardell is killed in the shuffle. Scared and guilty - the teens flee the crime. When the rest of the Hardell clan finds the old man murdered, they seek out vengeance. One-by-one, the teens are hunted down by Orry, the sexually oppressed mute, Willard, the long-haired wildman, and Kasper, the cold-blooded family leader.

And here is the trailer:

SARANDON Returing To FRIGHT NIGHT

No idea if any of this is true of course but it is coming from a reliable source, STYD.

It appears as if Chris Sarandon, the man who played lead vamp Jerry Dandridge in the classic original.  According to STYD the remake will play out something like this:

The new Fright Night was going to take a meta approach and acknowledge the existence of Holland's film. And like the original, the Charley Brewster-like protagonist would need to enlist some help to take on a vampire menace. Because we're living in sad times where horror hosts are a rare breed and are all but foreign to the Scream generation, however, the film's hero wouldn’t be calling on Peter Vincent (essayed in the original film by the late, great Roddy McDowell), he'd be seeking out none other than actor Chris Sarandon himself, the man who played the vampire Jerry Dandrige! Together, the hero and Sarandon would take on the big bad bloodsucker.

I'm liking the sound of this.  Basically Sarandon will play the Peter Vincent role in this film.  Yeah. sound interesting.

Keep it here if any of this gets confirmed I'll be sure to let you know.
