If you're a fan of this page then the name Greg Nicotero is not strange to you.  The man has been involved in the genre for many decades.  From his formative years working with Tom Savini to building Hollywood's premiere FX house, KNB he has been a driving force in bringing to life the things that scare us.

Like many of us, it would appear as if Greg's formative years were filled with the classic monsters from Universal and in this very excellent 8 minute film he pays homage to the B & W classics that kept so many of us scared silly back in the day.

The film is called UNITED MONSTERS TALENT AGENCY and features Nicotero in the directors chair and a whole bunch of his handi-work on the screen.  Also a couple of his Hollywood friends show up to lend a hand.

See how many you can recognize.

You'll be able to see Greg's latest work when THE WALKING DEAD premieres this Sunday night at 10 pm.

This is the trailer that the premiered at the SCREAM awards a few nights back.  It showed up online shortly after in a really horrible bootleg version, which I didn't bother posting cause it was really shoddy looking.

I figured that an "official" version would be along shortly and low and behold today it shows up.

Not a lot of blood letting in this one, just more of an introduction of all the new faces and Ghostface chasing them around a bit.

A few days ago director Don Coscarelli started a buzz via his Twitter account teasing fans by stating he was gearing up for a new film but not disclosing the title.  Naturally the PHANTASM and BUBBA fans assumed  and hoped that one of those long hoped for projects were moving forward.

Today we know what the project is, and it's nothing you would have expected.

Coscarelli's new project is JOHN DIES AT THE END.

He's actually owned the rights to this one since 2008 and apparently the time must be right to move on it.

The film is set to star Angus Scrimm, Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown, Chase Williamson and Rob Mayes.

Scrimm and Giamatti is an interesting pairing, actually kind of cool.

So, what is JOHN DIES AT THE END all about:

"It's a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is under way, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity?"

Coscarelli has built a career out of being a "quirky" film maker and this one sounds right up his alley. 

Looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.

You've gotta love the Halloween season.  Everyone gets in on the action.

This is kind of corny but way more cool.

If you CLICK HERE you'll be whisked away to the website for SEARS which has been completely redone in Zombie.

A fun idea and it's kind of unusual to see such a major retailer go so "underground" but it nice to see them loosen up and have a little fun.

I've really been digging the coolness that has been thrown at us lately from SKYLINE the latest flick from THE BROTHERS STRAUSE that is looking like it's going to kick some major ass.

Looking like ID4 on acid SKYLINE attacks on Nov. 12th.  Here's the official byline from the studio:

After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherworldly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.

You can feel the coolness just oozing off this new one sheet which is kind of a mish mash of a lot of the teaser images we've been seeing the last few weeks.
