I'm sure some of you will be thrilled at the following news, others disappointed but producer Brad Fuller has announced via Twitter that FRIDAY THE 13th Part 2, the sequel to the remake is DEAD.
Kind of surprising actually. The remake drew significant money and Warner Bros. had already announced a release date for next year. The studios FREDDY remake opens huge next weekend, kind of a weird time to make this kind of statement.
Here's how it all went down.
Some dude tweeted to Fuller asking for an update on the F13-2 front to which Fuller replied: "it is dead- not happening."
Can't get much plainer then that.
So Bloody Disgusting, who runs Fuller's PLATINUM DUNE'S web site checked in with their buddy and got this statement: "Right now there is no movement on Friday 13th: Part 2."
There you have it, right from the horse's mouth. FRIDAY THE 13th Part 2 - The sequel to the remake is dead. At least for now. Either the best news or the worst news you've head this week, depending on how you feel about the whole remake thing.
