Goblin, the progressive Italian rock group best known
here in the States for scoring some of Dario Argento's best-loved films (DEEP
RED, SUSPIRIA, TENEBRE, PHENOMENA, and I CAN'T SLEEP), is reuniting and scheduled
to make their US performance debut in Texas this coming October as they perform
live their film score to SUSPIRIA as the film is being screened.
The Housecore Horror Film Festival will be the function
that Goblin is performing at and is scheduled to include some of the former
members of Goblin, including frontman Claudio Simonetti.
Goblin was originally scheduled to make their US debut at
Cult Con 2000 in Tarrytown, NY thirteen years ago, however circumstances
dictated otherwise. Here is hoping that
thirteen proves to be a lucky number this time around...
Taking place during October 25 - 27, 2013 at Emo's in
Austin, TX, the Housecore Horror Film Festival will also be screening 35mm prints of THE EVIL DEAD, THE BEYOND, ZOMBIE and MANIAC,
NEKROMANTIK 1 & 2 (with Jorg Buttgereit in-person) and THE MANSON FAMILY
(with Jim Vanbebber in-person). There will
also be a look at Coffin Joe with with AT MIDNIGHT I'LL TAKE YOUR SOUL and THIS
NIGHT I'LL POSSESS YOUR CORPSE. Other
bands playing include Anselmo's Down, Eyehategod, Warbeast and more.
