It’s being called an homage to the SAW films, looks more like a ripoff to me.
I can’t wait for the one that has the hockey mask with a burning joint hanging out the mouth hole. It must suck to not be able to come up with something original.
What you’re see there on the right is the first is what is expected to be a series of posters to promote the David Arquette directed The Tripper. The film has had quite the presence at the New York Comic Con this weekend with the director and some of the stars on hand to help pimp the upcoming release.
We’ve been talking about THE TRIPPER for a while now and to help refresh your memory here is what the film is all about as supplied to us by the folks at Fango:
David Arquette’s directorial debut stars Thomas Jane, Jaime King, Lukas Haas, Jason Mewes, Chris Nelson and Paul Reubens, and chronicles the bloodshed that ensues when a group of modern hippies attending an outdoor music event are targeted by a psychopath with a Ronald Reagan fixation.
WHAT!! Jason Mewes in a film that has a drug reference...I can’t believe it.
Actually, that’s a pretty kick ass cast and I personally have always found Arquette’s quirky nature to be a bit entertaining. We’ll see what he comes up with.
