I remember back in 1984 when Night of the Comet hit theaters.  It was the golden age of the slasher film, blood and guts flying all over the silver screen and yet all us gore heads ran to the multi-plex to see this little sci-fi / horror number.

We went for one reason and one reason alone, Catherine Mary Stewart.  That’s her there in the pic on the right, back in her hey day of the mid 80's.  Damn she was fine.  Actually, she still is.  Anyway, the reason I’m bringing the lovely Ms. Stewart up is that Fango recently learned that Night of the Comet has been pegged for a major DVD release in early 2007 and I just couldn’t be happier to tell you about it.

No disc specs yet but they do drop the date of March 6th as a target release date and they also remind us that Ms. Stewart will be appearing in several genre projects this year including The Attic directed by Mary Lambert and the adaptation of Jack Ketchum’s The Girl Next Door which we have been giving a lot of love here at the House.
