We got word tonight on a trio of titles heading our way from Anchor Bay for the fright season.  Read on for all the details on a couple of great priced scares that will be coming soon:

Anchor Bay Entertainment is releasing three spine-tingling horror titles for the first time on DVD this October, giving genre fans three more reasons to look forward to the scariest month of the year. October 3rd brings The Norliss Tapes and October 10th finds Baby Blood and Superstition hitting DVD shelves. Three horror must-haves at the insanely low SRP of $14.98 each!

THE NORLISS TAPES

Originally broadcast in 1973, this made-for-TV chiller by veteran horror producer Dan Curtis (“Dark Shadows,” “The Night Stalker,” “Trilogy of Terror”) stars Roy Thinnes as David Norliss, an investigative reporter exposing supernatural hoaxes and paranormal phenomena. But after a frightened phone call to his publisher, Norliss disappears leaving only a stack of cassettes where he dictated his strange findings: When a wealthy widow is attacked by the crazed corpse of her recently deceased husband, Norliss discovers a horrific case of empty crypts, blood-drained bodies and occult violence. Moviesandtvnews.com calls The Norliss Tapes “one of the good ones that slipped under the radar.”

BABY BLOOD

Fully restored for the first time in the U.S.! When a voracious parasite finds the host that it has been searching for since the dawn of time, a sexy circus performer (voluptuous French starlet Emmanuelle Escourrou) gets the surprise of her life and finds that she is now eating for two with a catch -- the mutant fetus demands gallons of fresh blood everyday to grow stronger. The “expectant” mom goes on a cross-country killing spree. With pre-natal care now requiring bloodshed and violent carnage, Baby Blood is the French splatter fest that will leave viewers gasping in disbelief.

Special features:

Widescreen presentation (1.85:1), enhanced for 16 x 9 televisions

SUPERSTITION

Something horrible is happening at the old house on Mill Road, where a series of ghastly accidents have occurred, near the site where a witch was drowned centuries earlier. When an alcoholic minister and his family move into the cursed residence, an idealistic young priest (James Houghton) and a cynical police detective (Albert Salmi, Empire of the Ants) investigate the seemingly unexplainable carnage. Has the daughter of Satan returned for a violent rampage?
