RE: Dead-Alive

T4: A gross movie? To say the least! But I loved it. To the readers: Whatever you do, save the pizza until the movie is over...and the next time you eat custard, check for ears. This movie is creepy, gory, and funny all at the same time. I had tears in my eyes when I watched the "baby zombie" scene in the park. And what can I say? The living pile of guts was classic. This film, along with Bad Taste, will go down in history as what creative horror/comedy is all about.

RE: Dead Alive.....Horror? Comedy? Or Both?

I rented this film after reading about it on your site. All I have to say is thank you very friggin' much! I took it to my friend's house and we watched it with his mother and father! I have never laughed so hard in my entire damn life! The living guts, the baby in the park, zombie sex! I had convulsions! I am usually terrified by zombie movies(just a slight phobia), but I laughed, I cried, I puked, I died! I will watch this movie over and over again!

A recovering zombie fearer, now lover,

RE: BRAIN DEAD

BRAIN DEAD WOULD HAVE TO BE THE BEST SLAPSTICK MOVIE EVER MADE. COMBINING STATE OF THE ART SPECIAL EFFECTS AND UNBELIEVABLE HUMOR, BRAIN DEAD TAKES HORROR MOVIES TO A NEW LEVEL. NOT SINCE EVIL DEAD, HAS A MOVIE COME ALONG THAT CAPTIVATES YOU AND TAKES YOU ON A WILD EXHILARATING RIDE. ALL I CAN SAY NOW IS "PETER JACKSON, BRING ON YOUR NEXT BRAINDEAD MOVIE." I HOPE HE DOES THIS, ESPECIALLY AFTER HE HAS COMPLETED LORD OF THE RINGS, BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE CAN MAKE MOVIES LIKE THIS, THE WAY HE CAN. HE'S A LEGEND. AND THAT'S THE WAY IT IS.

WHAT JOHN WOO IS TO ACTION MOVIES, PETER JACKSON IS TO THE HORROR FILM. ENOUGH SAID.

RE: Peter Jackson

Fan-forced-tastic page buddy, I also am a big time Zombie freak, though I'm fussy and only like the good stuff (Night, Dawn, ED series and this guy!)

I had the pleasure of seeing Braindead on the big screen and is often replayed at our local cult cinema here in Canberra, I have been to see it about 10 times and surely you must stoke on a New Zeland accent squeezing out "Necrophiliac".

I just wanted to add that on top of the more bizarre films Mr Jackson has given us, he also had a big hand in "Heavenly Creatures", a film based on a true story, set in the 60's (If I remember correctly), and tells of two young girls and their intense friendship. I don't want to tell you much about it as the film is REALLY good - while we are all here to celebrate the genre, this is superior filmmaking - trust me - you'll see.

Also, he pulled a bloody brilliant hoax on NZ television, I can't remember what it was called, but it basically was a false doco on New Zealand (and the worlds) biggest loser: who discovered flight before the Wright Brothers: Who made films bigger than Ben Hur who managed to fuck everything up and make it absolutely no-where. It really is worth checking if your sense of humor is as sharp as your taste in splatter.
