Anchor Bay really has done a stellar job of bringing us the Masters of Horror DVDs. They have all been fantastic additions to any horror fans collection and this weeks release of Dario Argentos Jenifer is no exception.
I watched and reviewed this episode when it originally aired on Showtime almost a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed this second viewing. Actually I could venture to say that this is my favorite piece of work from Mr. Argento, period. Well acted, extraordinarily shot and just flat out weird Jenifer tells the tale of a cop played by Steven Weber who stumbles into the life of the titled Jenifer only to be sucked into a strange sexual relationship with the deformed beauty.
It really is a strange story and I had forgotten just how naked that lead actress Carrie Anne Fleming had to get for this role. It is probably the most sex filled episode of the series.
Dont want to ruin the viewing for you, just be prepared for some near porn like scenes.
