I think one of the most depressing things for me is not having Showtime. I got the first two Masters of Horror DVDs a few weeks back and was pleasantly suprised. I loved both the episodes, one from Stuart Gordon and one from John Carpenter, and am waiting for the next wave of DVDs to hit, I'm dying to see more. Season two of the hit show has begun production and the first episode has wrapped. The first episode directed by returning master John Landis is titled Family and was written by Frailty scribe Brent Hanley. The episode also stars former Cheers star George Wendt in a different kind of role for the actor. John Landis states that "For me, the most fun was casting George," and, "I asked all my friends, 'Whos the least threatening guy you know?' At least six said, 'Norm from Cheers.'" I'm looking forward to seeing George Wendt cross over into the genre. If you have seen King of the Ants then you know the man does have a dark side. Also if you head over to Fangoria you can also see DVD art for Deer Woman and Sick Girl. Stay tuned to the House of Horrors for the latest!
