I really enjoyed Stevan Mena's film MALEVOLENCE when it hit DVD a few years back. Very cool, atmospheric little flick. The long rumored and some what anticipated follow up is currently lensing in PA, and FANGO got some pretty cool news about some casting. Check it out:
Michael Biehn, star of THE TERMINATOR, ALIENS and GRINDHOUSE
among others, has been cast in the lead role of Jonathan Miller in
writer/director Stevan Mena’s MALEVOLENCE 2: BEREAVEMENT, currently
shooting in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Mena supplied us with the
exclusive first pic above from the film ,
a prequel to Mena’s debut feature that focuses on killer Graham Sutter
and the kidnapping and systematic torture of his protégé Martin
Bristol, in a backstory only hinted at in the first MALEVOLENCE movie.
Playing Sutter is Brett (ZODIAC) Rickaby, while Martin Bristol is
portrayed by two young actors: Chase Pechacek (Bristol at age 6) and
Spencer List (age 11). Rounding out the cast are Kathryn (BASKET CASE
2) Meisle, John (CARNIVŔLE) Savage, Nolan ( HOLLOW MAN 2) Funk and Alexandra Daddario.
Liking the addition of Biehn to the cast. One of the genres unsung heroes in my book. We'll keep a close eye on this one and update you as needed.
