You read that right.  From Fangoria, from Campbell: We got to a few points [developing the screenplay] that we couldn’t reconcile. I want to keep our friendship, so we parted ways. So I’m not part of that project.

This blows my mind, considering that Campbell got some of the best reviews in his career for Bubba Ho-Tep, he'd be teaming up with Oscar-nominee Paul Giamatti, and it would undoubtedly make money.  I'm not sure what Campbell's on right now, but I'd love to take a hit.

He also discussed Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, his honest opinions on his first directorial effort, more battles with the Deadites, and another book deal.
