12 year old Stevie entered the abandoned house on a dare - the one deep in the woods, rotting and falling in on itself. The one that was rumored to be haunted. The house nobody went to... But here he was, for ten stinkin' dollars, going through the worm ridden and termite imbedded front door. Two of his curious friends watched from ten yards off the porch. "Go ahead Stevie!" one of them prodded. Stevie turned and entered the house. Standing in the foyer he could see the gray and moldy hallway ahead, the rickety and partial stairs leading to the second floor, the dimly lit, trash littered living room to the right... and the black, doorless opening, leading down narrow cement stairs to the basement. He took a brave swallow and headed for the cellar, where he was to call out to them from one of the brush overgrown slivers of a window. There was very little light as he descended, the air growing cooler by the step, darkness enveloping his body. He could hear nothing but a drop of water echoing dully in the corner of the basement. Nothing moved. Stevie reached out his hands as he walked across the damp cold cellar to the window, sensing every molecule of the air as he stepped. He bumped into a table which thumped against his knee. Startled and holding his breath, Stevie felt down and found the surface - it was wooden and littered with... books? No cases. DVD cases. And discs. And... something wet. Sticky. Something that felt like a piece of cold meat pushed against his warm hand. Stevie flipped out and ran up the stairs, holding back screams with every strength he could muster. Outside his friends laughed as he emerged - running towards them pale white - never seeing the shadowed silhouette of the freak that had gotten within inches of slicing open his throat.

Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis (2005) - trailer (quicktime) - 88 minutes
Rated R for horror violence/gore and language Starring Aimee-Lynn Chadwick, Cory Hardrict, John Keefe Directed by Ellory Elkayem
Amazon.com Plot Description: A group of teenagers who, in an attempt to rescue their friend from an evil corporation, end up releasing a horde of blood thirsty zombies.
Amazon.com Customer Review: The first Return of the living dead is considered a classic by many horror fans. The second is my favorite movie of all time, because it was great sequel that brought back a lot of actors and comedy elements from the original. And it had awesome looking zombies. The third one had a serious plot and seemed like a thinly disguised sequel to Re-animator. And the forurth entry tries to make fun of the Resident Evil movies (And in my opnion those movies are allready a parody of themselves) were a group of teenagers must fight against zombies created by a mad scinetist. These zombies are not the buried, skeletal corpses we all know and love like in the first two entries, but a cross between zombies and cyborgs. And to make it worse, the zombies can be easily killed by a braking the neck. Come on, that dosen't even work on Romero's zombies! Seems like all the recent sequels of the great horror flicks of the 80's sucks. So far we have Jason in space, Chucky with a sexually confused son, Kelly Rowland "street talking" to Freddy and did we really need a Resident Evil-inspired ROTLD sequel? Saga of Viking Women/Teenage Caveman (1958) 131 minutes
Not Rated Starring Robert Vaughn, Sarah Marshall Directed by Roger Corman
CD Universe Plot Description:
THE VIKING WOMEN AND THE SEA SERPENT: This low-rent epic chronicles the adventures of some beautiful blonde Viking women in "the days when the world was young, and the gods had not yet abandoned the race of men." They sail off into the unknown in search of their missing husbands but instead encounter the dreaded Monster of the Vortex, a gigantic sea serpent that destroys their ship. They wash up on a strange shore where they are enslaved by a group of hairy, unattractive warriors led by the evil Stark (Richard Devon) and his sniveling son (Jay Sayer). Lots of whip-cracking, lip-smacking human sacrifice and sword-swinging follows. Director-producer Roger "King of the Bs" Corman allegedly shot this classic quickie in a hectic 10 days. Susan Cabot is Inger, the Viking priestess who is obviously evil because shes the only brunette; she tries to steal the shirtless husband of leader Dezir (Abby Dalton). June Kenney, Betsey Jones-Moreland, and Sally Todd are the other Viking women, and Jonathan Haze is a young Viking male who tags along with the girls and participates in most of the film's funniest fight scenes.
TEENAGE CAVEMAN: Before he was in THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E, Robert Vaughn starred in this intelligent quickie directed by Roger Corman in 10 days for $70,000. As the restless son of the caveman tribe's symbol maker (Leslie Bradley), Vaughn hunts for food, romances a blonde maiden (Darrah Marshall), and is warned by the elders not to venture beyond the river to the land of the monster "that Gives Death with its Touch." Of course, he's a teenager, so he goes anyway and discovers some pretty shocking secrets. Before that, there are dinosaurs (recycled footage from ONE MILLION B.C.), wild dogs, and a giant-bear attack. Actor Beach Dickerson plays a bear in addition to several other roles. (He even beats a tom-tom at his own funeral.) Frank De Kova is the villain in the tribe, and June Joceylyn, Robert Shayne, and Jonathan Haze hunt and gather as needed. Corman originally called this PREHISTORIC WORLD, but the producers at AIP wanted to cash in on the success of their hits I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF and I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN, so they changed the title. Corman and scriptwriter R. Wright Campbell didn't approve; they were proud of their story, which includes inventive dialogue and a nifty surprise ending. SLAUGHTERED (n/a) DISC JOCKEY (n/a) DEAD BODY MAN (2004) - IMDB page - All Movie Guide: Dead Body Man concerns a serial killer who feels compelled to murder and torture those he deems are unworthy of living, including prostitutes and criminals. The man is haunted by his actions, trying many different strategies that might lead to him ceasing his bloodthirsty behavior. Directed by Ryan Cavalline SKYGGEN (1998) - IMDB page - IMDB Editorial: The look of this movie is definitely inspired by "Blade Runner", and it looks pretty cool. It's very dark, and there are a lot of people wearing strange clothes. I guess the directing is fine, but the acting is very superficial. And a lot of the so called one-liners completely tank! Also you've heard the story before: Our hero, J.B., has to find out who stole his boss' money or he dies. The whole race-against-time concept has been used several times before, and the use of it in this film isn't very good. Watch this movie for it's set design, because that is spectacular. All Movie Guide Plot Description: A crazed, women-hating killer (Michael Ironside) rapes and brutalizes journalist Deborah Ballin (Lee Grant). When he discovers that his attack didn't kill Deborah, he comes to the hospital to finish what he started.
Some half-decent performances in an otherwise eventless stalker movie. Anyone who grew up through the 80's remembers this movie moreso for the one-sheet than anything else. DVD Special Features include: Standard Screen; Soundtrack English
