The Giant Majin Collection (1966)

Plot Synopsis:  Bigger than Godzilla! Badder than Gamera! In 1966, the Daiei Motion Picture Co. had reached its creative zenith. Riding high on the success of its Gamera franchise, the studio released a trilogy of high-quality period films (made and released in the same year) that centered around a giant stone idol that comes to life to defeat evil warlords terrorizing innocent villagers in feudal Japan. Two years later, American-International Television (AIP-TV) released two of these films, Majin, Monster of Terror (originally Daimajin) and Return of Giant Majin (originally Daimajin Ikaru), to American television, professionally dubbed into English by Titan Productions. Much like Toei's The Magic Serpent, the Majin films effectively combine traditional samurai swordplay with incredible special effects, making them a must-see for anybody interested in Japanese cinema. Just when you thought the AIP-TV versions had vanished for good, Retromedia Entertainment plucks them out of obscurity and brings them to your home. Don't adjust your rabbit-ear antenna; forget switching to the nearest UHF station; all the nostalgic fun you need is right here on this disc! ~ Amazon.com

Nude on the Moon/Blaze Starr Goes Nudist (1962)

Plot Synopsis

Nude on the Moon (trailer):  Dr. Huntley and Professor Nichols are able to complete their work on a moon rocket because of an unexpected inheritance. They travel to the moon, but find a lush garden paradise rather than a barren wasteland. They are captured by virtually naked telepathic humanoids and taken in front of the Great Council. The Moon Goddess decides they should be allowed to continue their experiments, and Dr. Huntley begins falling in love with her. Professor Nichols worries about getting Huntley to return to earth.

Blaze Starr Goes Nudist (trailer):  A nudist Starr is born! Needing an escape from nightclub engagements and her sleazy agent-fiance, legendary red-headed stripper Blaze Starr ducks into a movie theater and sees a movie on nudism. Intrigued, Blaze Starr Goes Nudist! She checks into Florida's Sunny Palms and finds true happiness by strutting around in her birthday suit and discovering the wonders of nude volleyball, nude archery, and, of course, nude checkers. She also falls for camp director Ralph Young, a grinning galoot in oversize shorts (billed here as "Russ Martine," and half of the popular sixties singing duo of Sandler and Young). But, uh oh, that fiance of hers is about to crash the place... Skin, sun, and Miss Starr's incredible curves fill this bright, bubbly production from Doris Wishman (Nude on the Moon), one of the few women directors in the world of sexploitation. ~ Amazon.com

Roger Corman's Cult Classics [video iPod ready disc] (2007)

Plot Synopsis:  Note: This release is a DVD-Rom containing iPod-ready video content.

Swamp Women (watch it):  Three escaped female convicts and an undercover policewoman seeking stolen diamonds hidden in the swamps of Louisiana steal a boat from a geologist, leaving his girlfriend-to-be eaten by alligators. (1956)

She Gods of Shark Reef (watch it):  Two men escaping the police by ship are blown off course by a typhoon and shipwrecked on an uncharted island populated by women who make a living diving for pearls. What the men don't know is that the women are also part of a shark cult that sacrifices young virgins to appease the shark gods. (1958)

Wasp Woman (watch it):  A cosmetics queen develops a youth formula from jelly taken from queen wasps. She fails to anticipate the side effects...and transforms into a killer wasp! A great addition to the 1950s giant bug movies with its own lurid convictions! (1960)

The Little Shop of Horrors (trailer): Classic black comedy about a young schnook who develops a bloodthirsty plant and is forced to kill in order to feed it. A macabre B film masterpiece with a snide satirical take on Dragnet's Sergeant Joe Friday. One of Jack Nicholson's finest performances! (1960)

The Terror (watch it):  A young officer in Napoleon's army pursues a mysterious woman to the castle of an elderly Baron where he discovers that she is the pawn of an old witch bent on driving the Baron to suicide. A prowl through a creepy castle with incidental pleasures, most notable Boris Karloff's commanding performance and a young Jack Nicholson as the officer. (1963)

Dementia 13 (trailer):  Directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by Roger Corman - this film is a true cult classic...a nastily effective macabre film. An axe murderer attacks members of a noble Irish family at their lonely castle. (1963)

Creature from the Haunted Sea (watch it):  Crook Sparks Moran sees a chance to make a bundle when a Caribbean island has a revolution. He plans to help loyalists (and the national treasury) escape on his boat, then kill the men and blame their deaths on a mythical sea monster.

Attack of the Giant Leeches (watch it):  After the local hard-drinking trapper sees a giant creature, people start disappearing. While searching for illegal traps, a couple find the trapper dying with giant sucker wounds on his body. Soon after this, two more trappers disappear and the local Game Warden gets involved. He realizes that the people were taken by giant leeches that live in caves under the swamp.

Beast from the Haunted Cave:  A group of gold thieves (Frank Wolff, Richard Sinatra, Wally Campo and Sheila Carol) pull off a heist and flee into the snowy wilderness, only to be pursued by a horrible, spider-like monster. ~ Amazon.com (thanks to archive.com for films in their entirety)
