The Dark Hours (2005) Review:

Whereas most modern horror movies suffer from an overdose of action to compensate a poor story, The Dark Hours is the complete opposite. The thriller-like story is excellent: it is well-written, it is really surprising and with a huge twist, and it has some pretty deep characters too. This said, everything else about that movie is average or just not noticeably good. The acting is not convincing and the dialogues lack credibility. The filming could have used a little more punch, and personally, I would have enjoyed a little more action. The games are fun, but nothing very innovative, and I couldn’t help but thinking that this movie could have been so much better with a bit more work put into it.
