A successful female doctor is captured by a dying Jigsaw and his apprentice. The only way for her to survive is to keep Jigsaw alive long enough for someone else to finish his test.
Saw III (2006) Review:
n this third opus of the Saw series, a big effort was made to reinforce the storyline, which clearly the drawback of Saw II. The reunion of James Wan and Leigh Whannell (writers of the first Saw) worked once more and the all concept of the woman having to save Jigsaw is really clever, and well used. Unfortunately, that accounts for one half of the film only.
The other half is kind of out of tune with the rest, featuring an angry guy and people that are trapped into a series of puzzle for no other reasons than showing more and more puzzles. I though most of them did not deserve to be here. The traps themselves were ok, with a special mention for the Pig Vat.
The end is really cool and makes this film the best sequel of the series for me. I really like the fact that we get to see Jigsaw a lot. Tobin Bell is just brilliant in that film. In the unlikely event that you stopped watching after Saw II, I strongly suggest that you push it and watch Saw III too. After that one, the series become a lot less good.
