REC 2 (2009) Review:

REC 2 takes the same directors and start all over again. Considering the extent of REC success, everyone was really looking forward to that sequel. Fortunately, it is well worthy of the first one!

In this sequel, they really made an effort to push the story a bit more than in the first film. Learning about the origin of the infection brings a lot to the overall REC series in general. The concept of a possessed zombie is great; this new species takes the best of both worlds and renders some really creepy monsters.

The movie is still terrifying, with some really scary kid monsters, running zombies, etc. The suspense and the oppressive atmosphere characteristic of the first REC are still there. Thereee is also a lot more action than in the first REC. The acting is also good and I was so happy to ….*spoilers* see the girl from the first film coming back.

Overall, this sequel is a big success. I like it as almost as much as the original, with less surprise but better special effects and a better story.
