Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter (1994) Synopsis:
The fifth installment is a direct sequel to the fourth film, following Rick Myers as the current Puppet Master, expressed by Andre Toulon. It picks up right where it left off, but this time Sutekh decides to finish things himself, transporting his body into the living realm. It’s going to take some trickery from Rick and the puppets to defeat Sutekh because he is no ordinary foe.
Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter (1994) Review:
This movie introduces a corporation’s intent to steal the puppets led by the new director of operations for the Omega Project. I found this new storyline to sit well with the main villain being Sutekh, the puppet’s arch rival. I absolutely dug the writing and characters in this entry, with some surprisingly funny moments too. What lacked in The Final Chapter was standout death scenes, which could have definitely been better and had more of. The continuality was excellent and relieving to see, bringing back the two main leads from the past movie. One aspect I feel the writer left out however was there wasn’t any new development between the two characters. The growing of characters actually seemed to happen with the puppets, where Blade could start speaking a bit, which was odd and slightly disappointing. Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter is a good addition to the franchise and I’d recommended it to view right after viewing the fourth film so the viewer doesn’t forget any past details.
