Pod (2015) Review:

The first 30 minutes are probably the best thing about that new alien movie. Instead of diving directly into the alien adventure, Pod takes time to install real doubts about whether the aliens exists at all. By having the main character being mentally ill, the viewer is kept under the impression that all that is happening might just be happening in his mind. Despite way too much screaming, this psychological aspect of the movie is actually OK.

But everything goes wrong *spoilers* the moment the alien escape – and Pod turns into your average, stereotype-filled, alien movie. You only get a few glimpse of the alien, but it is largely enough to see the fake looking “man in a costume suit” under it. The end is at the image of the movie, disappointing.

Globally and despite a decent start, I found this movie to dramatically lack interest.
