Martyrs (2008) Review:

Martyrs is a film that really divided the audience, and did not let anyone indifferent. Personally, I think that this movie is one of the best horrors ever made – or at least one of the most powerful…it really blew my mind! The movie is ultra-violent but it is not meaningless violence like in movies such as Hostel. This time, violence has a goal, and I was craving to discover it while watching. As a consequence, the ending of this movie is, for me, the best horror film’s ending ever. Don’t get mistaken, this movie is highly disturbing and not for faint-hearted, but if you can handle it until the end, you’ll love it….or hate it, it seems to depend on the people.
