Hostel (2005) Review:

“A really creepy movie about torture”, if that part sounds good to you, then you may enjoy this movie. The Hostel is stuffed with torture scenes that are really realistic and very violent, immersing you against you will in his creepy atmosphere. I was really feeling bad for these poor guys. But then I wondered what the point was? I know that horror movies do not necessarily need “a point” to be good…but here is some really cheap violence, with no goal or nothing to make you vibrate behind. Apart from the ending, which adds some kind of morale, the movie almost flirts with horror pornography. The scenario is truly innovative, but I somehow hated this movie for being another American film that pictures Eastern Europe as filled with hot chicks, deformed people and maniacs. Beurk!
