Guinea Pig 3: Shudder! The Man Who Doesn’t Die (1986) Review:

This third episode in the Guinea Pig franchise brings a real improvement in terms of scenario as compared to the first two movies. The problem is that (maybe to compensate or maybe because of a lack of budget) all the disgusting and voyeuristic gore was removed. Since this was the only reason for most people to watch the Guinea Pig movies in the first place, it would simply label it a “wrong move”.

Instead of a silly snuff, The Man Doesn’t Die (1986) offers a demented horror-comedy about a guy who cannot kill himself despite trying very hard to. Because it is still a splatter, they are still liters of blood to be seen, and some really funny moments, but overall it remains a poor quality short movie (40 min). I found it too different from the first two movies and a bit without interest. Because those who will watch it are probably looking for heavy gore/ disturbing footage, I think they will be quite disappointed here (others probably stopped after the first movie).
