JUST A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL GET:
GWAR will
perform the theme to ZOMBIE! These guys have been Blackest Heart Customers for years and
it was an honor to have them on this release. Only they could turn the title track to
Zombie into an all out metal anthem! It is still very true to the original but it rocks
hard like only Gwar can do.
This track alone is worth the price of the disc.
DAVE NEABORE (from the band Dog Eat Dog) performs 3 different themes
from THE SMUGGLER. Dave did some seriously amazing recreations of the
originals with some real heavy base mixed in to spice it up. One of the best sections of
the CD, hands down.
ANOTHER DEAD JUNKIE (featuring members of Metal Church, Hexx, and Fueled) performing the theme
from NEW YORK RIPPER. NY Ripper is one of my favorite Fulci films and I was
thrilled to have these guys do a cover of the theme. One of the best produced tracks on
the disc it sounds fucking amazing. Heavy guitars and thundering base.
ERIC KAUSCHEN performs an amazing cover of Fulci’s NEW GLADIATORS.
A great track that is dead on Riz Ortolani’s original version.
JAMES MURPHY (Of Testament) performing Irrealta Di Suoni from THE GATES OF HELL. Murphy is best known
these days for the popular metal band Testament, but he has been in the scene for years
winning awards for his ground breaking guitar work. His Gates Of Hell track fucking
smokes! Murphy also produced the New York Ripper track for Another Dead
Junkie.
DARKEST OF THE HILLSIDE THICKETS performs an original track inspired by
the film HOUSE OF CLOCKS
MIKE SCACCIA
(formerly of Ministry) performing Introduzione Paura Liberazione from THE GATES OF HELL. Mike’s
track is just fucking beautiful! Capturing the thick atmosphere of Gates Of Hell and some
of the moodiest most hypnotic guitar work we’ve ever heard.
rokOPERA INC. performes the theme from CAT IN THE BRAIN plus
an original song based on the film. rokOPERA Inc is America’s answer to Goblin. These
guys are SO FUCKING HOT, their work is unmatched by anyone in the genre. They are featured
on the Cannibal Ferox/Zombie CD, The Beyond Comic/CD, several movies, MTV, and the new
album Dr. Theatre coming soon from Blackest Heart.
AL FESTA (Director Fatal Frames, he also scored the film) performs a splendid
interpretation of the title track to DON’T
TORTURE A DUCKLING. It’s a great track. Keep an
eye on this guy. He’s the Italian Ed Wood
ON/OFF (Featuring Alex Wank from Pungent Stench!) Performing the
title track from HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY and Verso L’Ignoto from THE
BEYOND. On/Off is a cool progressive Noise band from
Austria. These guys cranked out two of the most diverse and interesting tracks on the
disc!
The most original shit you’ll ever hear.
MARCO WERBA performs the title track to THE BLACK CAT. The
master tapes and the sheet music for this beautiful score have been lost for years. Mr.
Werba has painstakingly transcribed the music, re-created the arrangement and conducted an
all new recorded version! This is the first time this theme will appear on a CD! No CD or
LP of The Black Cat score has ever been released.
CARFAX a
Canadian progressive rock band, is also covering Verso L’Ignoto from THE BEYOND. This track features some
butt kicking fusion guitar and heavy organ.
SKITZO a Bay Area metal band has delivered a killer original track inspired by
THE GATES OF HELL.
