I also had (for some odd reason) this type of connection between me and the character of "Mike". I guess that one of the reasons that the Phantasm series has mystified me is the "Dream-like" sence that the series brings to you. I also enjoy the music (the original credit's theme song) and the characters that we get. This website is a very good conductor of the Phantasm movie series. I find a lot of interest here at HOUSE OF HORRORS, and I hope that John keeps up the good work!!!!! Matt |
| Bryan RE: Phantasm The movie Phantasm is a true genre classic that has been the brunt of unwarranted attacks by some critics. This film is a great example of originality in the horror movie business that could teach a lesson to some directors remaking the same old crap over and over again. However, this series seems to always be fresh with each new movie, something rarely seen as well. Not only is this movie good for originality, but it is a frightening film with one of the coolest villains in movie history, The Tall Man. Angus Scrimm plays the role of the mortician perfectly in all the movies. To wrap this up, this is a true exercise in good genre filmmaking that should not be overlooked by a true fan. Bryan |
