Dark Skies (2013) Review:

ark Skies is one of those movies that are quite easy to watch, for anyone. The context is simple, with the events happening in a calm town, with a normal family, in a lovely house…nothing really original, but the way the aliens implicate themselves in humans life is pretty cool and the aliens themselves actually look awesome; kind of cute even, but we all know that in horror aliens are all but kind!

I was afraid in the beginning because some scenes actually made me think of Paranormal Activity (that I dislike), but it actually does not resemble that movie. One of the things I preferred in Dark Skies was the sound effects, the most important tool to scare the spectator. Aside from that, you’ll find a lot of surprising and breathtaking moments, as well as a good ending with a nice turnaround, which adds to the quality of this third kind film

I give it a 7/10.
