Several of my major competitors reported over the weekend that Rob Zombies H2 may indeed be going Loomis-less.  Well it seems that they reported a bit early as tonight Rob Zombie set the record straight over at his MY SPACE blog.

Here's the official announcement:

"Rumors have it that Malcolm will not be returning as Dr. Loomis. Well, as usual the rumors are wrong. Malcolm McDowell will be back and ready to deal with big Mike"

Although I have not thought much of a lot of casting news coming out of the Zombie camp I have to agree that this one was almost a must.  McDowell's take on Loomis was very strong and to not have had him in this sequel would have been awkward.

Glad to hear that he has signed on.

H2 is slated to start filming real soon so keep it here as we track its progress.
